Coming to a Parking Lot Near You!

2020 Annual Fall Fundraiser

You won’t want to miss this year’s Annual Fall Fundraiser for several reasons!  First, the body of Christ will be able to get together after months of being apart!  Second, our speaker (see backside) will inspire you to take “The Next Step” for Life.  Third, you will be served a delicious “picnic-style” dinner.

On top of all those reasons, you won’t want to miss this year’s event because it will be the most unique setting of all sixteen years we have hosted a fall fundraiser!

We will be gathering in our cars, drive-in style, in the parking lots of our two host churches!!  That’s right!  Drive-in style!  Many churches have converted to this mode for Sunday mornings.  TCLC has decided it is the safest way to encourage their donors and other interested people to attend.  You can be sure that we will be following all CDC and local Health Department regulations.  Cars will be parked 8 feet apart. Everyone will remain in their cars. Staging will provide a perfect view from any “seat” in the house…..I mean parking lot!!

Come join us on Wednesday, October 7th, at New Life Community Church, 750 Yosemite Drive, Ukiah, or Grace Church, 6716 Live Oak Drive, Kelseyville.   Parking lots open at 5:30.  You will receive your scrumptious dinner, drink and dessert as you enter.  The Program will begin at 6pm and you will be on your way home by 7:30.

Invitations go out at the beginning of September.  Invite your “social bubble” to attend with you.  RSVPs are required and need to be received by Friday, October 2nd.  See you at the Drive-In!

Lake County Expansion

Everyone wants to know, “When will we be in Lake County?”  The Board and staff wish we could give everyone a date.

Currently, we are dealing with State of California regulations that require further work on our new medical clinic site. We ask you to pray along with us that during this time we will exercise great patience, clear and Godly example to those we come in contact with through this process.

So many individuals continue to put their heads and hearts together to see this project to completion.  Please pray.

Walk for Life Virus or Not

The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” James 5:16 2020

Walk for LifeVirus or not—committed Walkers for Life (both in real time and virtual) raised over $34,000.  407 of their friends and family provided a very successful outcome at a time of great uncertainty in our local community as well as our nation.

We followed all the COVID protocols (as you can see in the picture) – drop off registration, brunch in a bag and even a video with encouragement and prayer.  As much as we might feel restricted, there really are a lot of ways around it that are safe.  Praise God for His faithfulness!

In anticipation of our opening in Lake County, TCLC decided to rename their medical clinic(s) to Mendo Lake Women’s Clinic.

Now, women googling for services regarding pregnancy testing, ultrasound exams and STD testing will find us by our new name.  So, don’t be shocked when driving by.  It’s still us!

We are so encouraged by our new marketing company and their strategies. We have definitely seen an uptick in our patient numbers.

Please note, though, that all of your wonderful donations made by check can still come payable to TCLC.

The Challenge

Some readers may already know that the pro-abortion community, aside from offering surgical abortions,  provides many patients with chemical abortions by prescribing the Abortion Pill (not to be confused with the Morning After Pill).  In the United States, 40% of all abortions are chemical abortions.  A chemical abortion can be legally performed on a pregnant woman up to 10 weeks.  This year alone it is estimated that 400,000 babies will die from chemical abortions.

Chemical abortions consist of a two-pill combination (RU-486) ingested by the mother.  The first pill, mifepristone, blocks progesterone which sustains a normal pregnancy.  This leads to the  separation of the   placenta from the wall of the uterus, thus starving the baby and leading to death. 24-48 hours later, the second drug, misoprostol, is taken, causing moderate to severe contractions of the uterus, relaxation of the cervix and expulsion of the remains of the preborn baby.

Currently, girls as young as 12 in our Golden State can take the Abortion Pill or obtain a surgical abortion without parental consent or knowledge.  If she takes the abortion pill, she will most likely do so at home alone; or this could be a college girl in her dorm room, or a single or married mom who cannot imagine how she can possibly feed one more mouth.

The Abortion Pill can have serious side effects and can be life-threatening.  Currently, doctors using telemed services with patients during COVID, can prescribe the Abortion Pill online, resulting in the patient never  seeing the doctor one-on-one.  The woman takes the prescribed pill(s) with no support.

Under the direction of our Medical Director, Dr. Derrick Barnes, TCLC is pursuing  adding Abortion Pill Reversal to our services.  Yes, there is a method to reverse the effects of the first pill ingested.  Some pregnancy medical clinics have begun to offer this life-saving service.

We will have more information to share at our upcoming 2020 Annual Fall Fundraiser.  Be on the lookout for your invitation in the mail.  This is just one more reason not to miss it!

Meet Our Upcoming Speaker

Rebekah Hagan is one of the youngest speakers on the issues of teenage pregnancy, abortion and abortion pill reversal.  Raised in a Christian home where abortion was never discussed, Rebekah’s role in the pro-life movement was unplanned and fueled instead by her first-hand experience.

At age 20, she began speaking across the United States, sharing her own story of hope and redemption, which has caught the attention of local and national media.

A passionate advocate for grace-centered outreach, Rebekah uses her story to unravel the mindset of women in unplanned pregnancies and to equip and encourage others to lead with hope and compassion.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 7th in Ukiah or Thursday, October 8th in Kelseyville!  See you at the Drive-In!!

Vote for Life

This coming election season needs all Christians to go to the polls (whether by mail or otherwise) and vote for  Life.  If you aren’t registered, you can go to frc.org /pledge which will bring you to a voter registration page. We pray, for the sake of America and the unborn, that you pray, vote and stand for Life.
